She Had No Idea: Alex’s Surprise Proposal
Some sessions come full circle, and this one has my whole heart. I first photographed Alex when he was a high school senior, a proud member of the L’Anse Creuse High School Marching Lancers. Years later, my phone rang: it was Alex, with a secret and a plan.
He was going to propose, a complete surprise, and he told me he could only think of one photographer he wanted there to capture it. What an honor. So I posted up across the river with my telephoto lens, hidden in plain sight, and waited for the moment to unfold.
She had no idea. And when he dropped to one knee… well, the photos tell the rest. She said yes! Congratulations, Alex and thank you for trusting me with another of your life’s biggest moments. Scroll down for a few favorites.
