Senior Graduation Pictures: The Experience

Senior graduation pictures are a way to celebrate your student’s past and personality as they’re right on the edge of new adventures! This special time only happens once, and it deserves to be captured in a way that’s fun, memorable, and totally focused on the graduating student. Rather than neutral, posed photos (although we will get a few of these more traditional shots for yearbook pictures) we like to use your senior’s personal look, props that highlight their interests, and special locations to help tell the story of who they are right now.

Capture a Moment Photography offers professional senior portraits in a setting that’s both comfortable and customized. Typically, we use our 2,500 sq ft studio for traditional yearbook photo needs, and then use some locations of your choice throughout the Metro Detroit area to shoot in a more casual setting that is meaningful to your senior. If you need some ideas, popular locations include: the shores of Anchor Bay, the fountain and beautiful green scenery of George George Park, the historical backdrop and urban sunsets of Belle Isle, and of course the ever-popular street art of downtown Detroit.

We want your experience to be as fun, unique, and stress-free as possible. So we’ll guide you through the entire process so you know up front what to expect. We’re happy to offer recommendations for locations, what to wear, and props to use. Both of our owners are professional photographers, which means we can provide you with a richer experience through our combined expertise. And we openly invite collaboration! This is one of the reasons every session includes a consult, so we can help you create exactly the senior photography experience you envision.
