Babies, Babies, Babies!  We have been blessed this year with many new babies.  My (Ang) most favorite sessions are newborn babies. There is something magical with taking pictures of the miracle of life.  We work very hard to make sure that first session captures the essence of the newborn and I am so happy when the baby shows up with his umbilical cord still attached.  That umbilical cord is a symbol of his connection with his mother that can never be recreated and only last a short time after he leaves the safety and comfort of his mother’s womb.

Recently, baby Karam came to us, very new and very sleepy and ready to be photographed. His mom and dad and extended family were very excited to have his first photo shoot.  Jen and I heated up the room, set up our natural light lamps and gathered a stack of towels in preparation for his photo shoot.  We take great care to make sure that each shoot is as safe as possible and as unique as possible.  We love those babies as if they are our own and make sure that they are happy and comfortable.  Sometimes we are pooped on, peed on and even spit up on.  Baby Karam made sure we experienced all three during his shoot and that is ok with us.  It makes us an official part of his family.

Often the parents are interested in being involved in the photo shoot with their child.  That was the case with Baby Karam and his first professional pictures with his parents turned out adorable and will be treasured forever.  You can never get that day back and every day that passes, that baby will only grow bigger.  After having done baby packages for years now, it never ceases to amaze me just how much the child will change in just one year.  And trust me, I am so proud to be able to capture those changes in the first year.  It makes my heart sing and I love what I do and I think it shows in every session that we do with a new baby.
