Booking Your Session
Let's Get You Scheduled
Ready to get started? Book a phone consultation at studio.captureamomentphoto.com and we'll chat about your vision and what you're looking for.
- Phone consultation: We'll discuss your needs and see if Capture a Moment is the right fit for you
- In-studio consultation: If we're a great match, we'll schedule an in-person visit to plan your shoot and get to know each other better
- Session booking: During your studio visit, we'll schedule your actual photo session
Payment Options
We make it easy! We accept:
Cash, Check, Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover), Affirm (flexible payment plans - $50.00 Setup Fee)
Please note: Returned checks will incur a $25 fee.
Here's what to expect:
Session fees and location selection are due at booking: This secures your spot on our calendar and allows us to plan travel time between appointments. While session fees are non-refundable, we're happy to transfer them to another date if weather or illness gets in the way.
Book ahead: We recommend allowing several weeks to secure your preferred date and time.
Editing & Retouching
What's Included
We capture you in the most flattering light and take care of the basics—think acne, minor scratches, and those little things that always seem to pop up right before a shoot. All prints you order are fully edited and ready to display.
Custom Editing
If you'd like more extensive retouching or creative photoshopping beyond our standard editing (like major appearance changes or artistic effects), we're happy to help! These requests are quoted per image and invoiced separately. We believe the best images are captured naturally, and our session fees reflect typical editing time.
Custom Cropping
We'll honor cropping requests whenever possible while maintaining print aspect ratios and our creative vision for your images.
Location Recommendations
We love exploring new spots! We travel throughout Macomb, Oakland, Wayne, and Southern St. Clair Counties and will meet you at parks, your home, or just about any venue you have in mind.

Your Questions Answered
What if it rains on my outdoor session day?
We're not fans of messy Michigan weather either! If the forecast isn't cooperating, we'll either move your session to our cozy studio or reschedule for a sunnier day.
How long until I see my photos?
During peak season, we typically need 2–3 weeks to edit your images and schedule your delivery meeting. We work as quickly as we can to get them to you sooner! If you have an urgent deadline, just let us know at your consultation and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Can I request a re-shoot?
If there's a technical issue on our end, we'll be the first to offer a re-shoot—no questions asked.
If you simply don't love your images (and there's no technical fault), you can request a re-shoot at 25% off the regular session fee. Please note that all original images from the first session will be forfeited, and re-shoots require pre-payment plus any applicable permit fees.
Will my images be shared online or in your studio?
All images remain the property of Capture a Moment Photography, LLC and may be featured on our website, in advertising, or displayed in our studio. We're proud of the work we create together!
If you prefer to keep your images private, just let us know during your consultation and we'll honor your wishes.
