Guess who’s coming to town? Nope, it’s even better than Santa Claus. A new baby! It was so fun to see this family again as they get ready to add a new member. (That “About to Pop” picture isn’t kidding, by the way. We barely managed to squeeze these holiday family and maternity photos in before baby’s due date!)
We know it can be a challenge to schedule multiple sessions for different types of photos—especially at this busy time of year. To keep things simple, we decided that rather than book a separate maternity session and family session, we would combine the two so we could get all their photos at once. Even though little one is a December baby, we kept most of our maternity photos pretty neutral. That way they’ll work well at any time of year, whether that’s hanging in the nursery or as part of a baby album.
For our family photos, we went with a holiday theme so they could use these images for Christmas cards. We’ve got our studio in Mt. Clemens, Michigan all set up with a bright and cozy winter wonderland for families!
By the way, holiday photos also make great wall art! Most people think of Christmas pictures exclusively in terms of using them in cards or ornaments, but just because you won’t be displaying them year-round doesn’t mean you can’t use holiday-themed pictures as home décor too. How fun would it be to have pictures documenting every one of your family’s Christmas seasons hung on the walls during December?
